Positiva vs WeTransfer

Still delivering your work over WeTransfer?

Positiva vs WeTransfer: why delivering a project isn’t the same as sending files.

A WeTransfer link is a countdown. Your client opens it thinking “I need to download this before it expires,” not “let’s see what they made for me.” And if they open it a few days late, there’s nothing left on the other side. It’s great for sending files fast; for delivering work that lasts, it falls short. And for sending files fast, Positiva works too.

Different jobs

WeTransfer isn’t worse. It’s for a different moment.

WeTransfer is for sending files.

Positiva is the room where you present your work. And it sends files too.

When a project wraps…

How it feels to your client.

The idea

Deliver better. Keep sending the same way.

Everything you do with WeTransfer, you can keep doing: sending raw footage, a heavy file, or asking someone to upload theirs. But the finished work doesn’t arrive as just another file. It arrives in a branded gallery where your client can view it, choose and comment. Both from the same dashboard, with one subscription.

Branded gallery: Author and Studio plans · Single file by link: all plans · Folders, multi-file transfers and file requests: Studio plan
Any tool will do for sending files. For delivering your work, only one with your name on it.

WeTransfer prices are their US prices in dollars, checked on October 18, 2026; limits are from their help center, checked on October 17, 2026. We don’t convert currencies. Their pricing page says transfers on Free and Starter last up to 7 days, while their help center says 3, so we give both figures. To respond to a file request, uploaders have to verify their email, and files received expire after 3 days on Free and Starter. We’re not comparing storage here: we’re comparing delivery.
